VeriUser™ Authentication Solutions Overview
Built for Microsoft Windows network environments, Capella Technologies VeriUser Authentication solutions help to control access to your HP LaserJet MFP devices. Anyone wishing to use an MFP’s copy, fax, scan and scan to e-mail functions must first log in to the device using the front panel and their network user name and password. By limiting access to these functions, these solutions help to discourage personal use of company property and unauthorized transmission of company documents. To further promote accountability, these solutions also lock the “sent by” field in all scan to e-mail functions so that e-mails generated by the MFP can be traced to the logged-in user. The VuNTLM solution further enhances security by encrypting the user name and password as they are passed to the server. VeriUser Authentication solutions can also be combined with Capella Technologies Megatrack software for comprehensive tracking of MFP device usage and expenses by user, department, project or cost center.
