CANNON IV, INC. AWARDED FOR COMMITMENT TO ETHICS
To Be Honored At June 14 Luncheon

INDIANAPOLIS, IN — Cannon IV, Inc., was selected a winner of the 2004 Indiana Business Ethics Awards (IBEA). The awards, sponsored annually by the Indianapolis Chapter of the Society of Financial Service Professionals (SFSP), honors Hoosier companies that exemplify sound business practices and a commitment to ethics. Cannon IV will be honored at an awards luncheon on June 14 at the Westin Hotel in Indianapolis.

Cannon IV was the IBEA winner in the small company category for those companies with fewer than 250 employees. The Indiana Business Award, part of the national American Business Ethics Awards program, is given to companies that demonstrate high standards of ethical behavior in their everyday business conduct and in response to specific crises. Entries are judged by an independent panel of judges comprising individuals with an expertise in business ethics.

"Seven years ago, Cannon IV sought to incorporate ethical business principles into everyday practice through the establishment of a Core Values Statement," explained Jerry Jones, president of Cannon IV. "The statement is intended to reflect the attitudes and philosophies at work in the company and is embraced by all staff members."

What was once a grassroots office supply business has emerged into a $50-million printer, service and supplies company with more than 100 employees and operations in Indiana, Ohio and Texas. Today Cannon IV is a premier supplier of Hewlett-Packard imaging and printing solutions.

"Judging from the quality of nominees, it is clear that many Indiana companies place a high priority on sound ethical practices," said Phil Cochran, Ph.D., Thomas W. Binford Chair in Corporate Citizenship at Kelly School of Business, IUPUI, and one of this year's judges. "An exemplary ethics policy and strong evidence of its real world application was a key criterion."

All entries submitted to the Indianapolis awards program are forwarded for consideration in the national program. Past winners of the IBEA include companies such as Walker Information, Eli Lilly, Women's Hospital of Indianapolis and Emmis Communications.
